Role

• A Design and Construction Organisation with powers to raise the Loans and Funds for implementation of Water Supply and Sewerage Projects in urban area of U.P.

Function

• To provide all necessary services regarding Water Supply and Sewerage to the State/Local Bodies
• To provide services to other institutions Private or Government, on demand, as a construction and design agency.
• To establish standards for water supply and sewerage arrangements
• To organise training required for development of technical manpower
• To advise the State Government on tariff for water supply and sewerage in urban areas

Responsibilities

• To prepare and carry out State Plan for Water Supply and Sewerage and to control River / Lake Pollution caused by domestic sewage as per directives of Central / State Govt.
